HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO ME!

Updated: May 24, 2023

Two years ago today I was looking at the “POST” button on my Facebook feed with mounting anxiety. After an intense month of preparation, and lots of pep talks, Tums, and tears, I was about to launch my consulting business and start a new chapter in my life as a business owner.

Then I hit “POST” and started the journey.

Now one rebranding completed, 24 clients served, and more than $5.2 million dollars raised, I celebrate my second anniversary with a full heart.

But it wasn’t smooth sailing at first. Nonprofit peers warned me it would take at least 6 months to get my feet under me, and indeed they were right. It was scary for a minute, but thanks to some incredible friends (looking at you, Other Julie, Rachel, and Tom!) who provided encouragement and referrals, I found my way to incredible clients and, together, did some amazing work to help change the world.

I’ve worked with international organizations, one of which took me to Africa on my first overseas trip and provided me the opportunity to experience the amazing culture in Tanzania.

I’ve worked with national organizations like the Endometriosis Foundation of America which does incredible advocacy work for people living with endometriosis.

I’ve worked with higher education institutions like Ithaca College where I traveled this past spring to be part of their remarkably successful Giving Day.

I’ve worked with small one-person organizations like Helping Women Period which is making a significant impact in helping people facing period poverty have access to menstrual products.

And, of course, I’ve worked with multiple animal welfare clients from small volunteer-only rescues to multi-million dollar humane societies because my heart for animals is part of who I am.

I also am super excited to announce I will soon be working with three new clients who I will introduce in the days ahead.

And to all of my clients, I owe you a huge THANK YOU. I am truly honored you chose me to help you with your fundraising and marketing efforts for your organization. I do not take the trust you extend, or the investment in my services, lightly, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be a small part of the incredible difference you are making in the world.

I love the work I do and can’t wait to see where the next year takes me. So here’s to many more years doing my little part to make this world a better place! Cheers!
